Vanveda Nature was built around a single conviction: that the ingredients that matter most in Indian wellness have been quietly diluted, adulterated, and stripped of their potency. Not always by bad actors — sometimes just by distance, scale, and a supply chain that rewards consistency of colour over integrity of content. The result is a generation of families cooking with turmeric every day and receiving a fraction of the benefit their grandmothers’ kitchens took for granted.

We set out to source differently.

Deep in the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, the Lakadong variety of turmeric grows at altitude, in mineral-rich soil, reaching curcumin concentrations of 9% and above — three to four times what you find in the average kitchen jar. The communities who have farmed it for generations never needed a lab report to know it was exceptional. We bring that ingredient — and others like it from Northeast India — directly to your shelf, without the compromises the conventional supply chain demands.

Every product we make is built on a small number of rigorously sourced ingredients — GI-certified, traceable to the farm, and tested for potency before the batch reaches us. The QR code on every jar is not a design choice. It is a commitment: scan it, read the Certificate of Analysis, and know exactly what you bought. If you cannot verify it, we should not be selling it.

Our products are not for everyone. They are for the person who has stopped trusting vague labels. The person who reads ingredient lists. The person who believes that one ingredient, sourced right and taken consistently, makes a measurable difference — and wants the proof to back that belief.

The Founders

We didn’t set out to build a wellness brand. We set out to build a good business.

A few years ago, we began looking seriously at India’s food landscape — searching for a category worth building in. Something with meaning. Something where quality still had room to matter. We looked at many things. We kept coming back to turmeric.

Not because of a family health crisis. Not because of a dramatic moment of revelation. But because the more we dug into the supply chain — the sourcing, the processing, the gap between what turmeric could be and what most people were actually buying — the more we realised something was genuinely broken. And quietly, for a long time, nobody had bothered to fix it.

Then we discovered Lakadong.

A specific variety. A specific geography. The Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya — a part of India most people have never visited and few supply chains had ever properly reached. Turmeric grown here tests at 9% curcumin and above. The farmers who grow it have been doing so for generations. And yet the rest of India — families cooking with turmeric every single day, believing they were doing something good for their health — had almost no access to it.

That gap became Vanveda.

One of us brought the supply chain thinking. The other kept asking the question that mattered more: would I give this to my own family? Together, we made a decision that has shaped every product since — we would never sell anything we could not fully verify. No vague sourcing. No borrowed credibility. No label that sounded good but meant nothing. If the proof wasn’t there, the product wasn’t ready.

Vanveda Nature is the result of that decision. Not a passion project dressed up as a business. Not a business that forgot it had a responsibility. Both — built together, by two people who believe that what you put in your body every day deserves the same rigour you would give anything else that matters.
